Rump roasts are a cut that shines with low heat over time, like a pot roast or in a slow cooker. Another low slow high moisture option that a rump roast is well suited for is a smoker. The rump roast when cooked with low slow heat, full of flavour and tender enough to pull apart with a fork. Of course you can always sear before you start, or reverse sear at the end to really amplify the roasts flavour.
